Coping with teen parenting

This book is a helpful resource to new teen parents. It explains how to manage the child and also care for it. In the book it say's "More than 15,00 children in the United States suffered neglect in 1996", this quote is informing readers of the amount of children that get neglected and the other types of abuse as well. This book als talks about what to look for in a baby-sitter, how to manage your money and many other things. The book also say's " If your baby has colic, you can expect a lot of advice from grandparents, friends, and neighbors. ", this quote is informing its readers to take the advice forum close friends and family to help with your baby.

I think this book is a huge help and a great resource for new teen parents. This book is great with helping teen parents manage money, child care, and many other things. I do not recommend this book however to those who have no need to worry about children.

I Wish I Couldn't Argue

When I was younger I got in an argument with my eldest brother which in the end he mortified me in front of some of my cousins. This argument started when I got a hair cut and my brother just had to make a comment. So we kept going back and forth insulting each other until he said something that was really personal that made me stop fighting with him. He tried to say sorry but to this day we have never gotten along because of him. I learned if I want to be treated a certain way I start to treat others that way but with my brother he thinks he can do whatever and say whatever he wants to me since I'm the youngest. Our fight never got resolved but when I started crying my mom stepped in at the last minute.

Fake It 'Till You Become It

I feel most comfortable around small groups of people, small crowded areas, and school. I need to work on my public speaking, and being around large groups of people. I can fix this by not showing that I'm scared and try to show that I am confident until I truly am no longer afraid. I am still developing, but I know I can get over my fear with the help of friends and family.

I Am From

I am from flour,
From the yeast and water.
I am from riding horses on the streets of the city.
(With coats as lovely
 and soft as cotton)

I am from the mountains
The hills
That hold secrets and messages

I am from farmers who collect corn
Who spend long days in fields under the shinning sun
From long days selling that corn in markets

I am from the know-it-all aunts and uncles
From who tell me lighten up and calm down
I'm from where Jesus is my lord and savior
Where Christmas is spent celebrating his birthday

I am from drinking Coke and eating bread together
From siting in the back of a truck to get to the city
To feeding the animals in the backyard

In my attic sits a box of very old pictures
Of those I never knew and I do
I sit and look at those pictures to
Remember those before me

I am from respecting those older then me
From using my manners unless I want to sit alone in a room
I am from wide open fields to the red dirt on the ground

I am the next generation of this family

How Thoughtful

My winter break was mainly me catching up on sleep, but all the while I'm home I helped my mom out by cleaning dishes, cleaning around the house, and helping cook dinner. My break was me just mainly sleeping, I slept over my grandparents house for a week and helped them out around the house as well. I also spent Christmas and New Years with my aunts, cousins, and uncles. I of course was in charge of looking over the younger kids since I'm the eldest girl cousin out of everyone.
